My first two births were assisted/witnessed by certified professional midwives. These stories were written at the time of their occurrence, and as you can hear my tone and the observations I make change, so has my heart. There are so many things that I wonder, if knowledge inhibited my intuition during those first births...but the reality is that the Lord was there and shaping me through those experiences. I also know this...I have not torn at all since my last midwife-assisted birth.
